Guiding principles
- To think about the implementation of safeguarding and valorization actions
of the cultural heritage of Old Accra, which will take into account the development
of the local population;
- To pay particular attention to the fact that, in a context like that of Old
Accra, these actions fit the objectives of the Millenium, in particular in
regard to the struggle against poverty.
Objective
To prepare a reference document which will integrate the cultural heritage
of Old Accra in the town's development plan, as a witness to the cultural
richness of African old city centres, which are today in a state of degradation.
