Visit of President Emile Derlin Zinsou to EPA

April 20, 2001 is an important date in the life of the School of African Heritage.

President Zinsou and the EPA teamFor the first time EPA receives the visit of President Emile Derlin Zinsou, one of the six members of the Honorary Committee of the EPA Endowment Fund.

The main objective of his visit was to see the achievements of EPA, who in three years of existence has acquired a good reputation in the field of graduate and postgraduate training in the field of cultural heritage.

At the end of his visit, the President wrote in EPA's guestbook the following words 1:

These words show his dedication to the growing of the School of African Heritage.

1. "Cultural heritage is precious, the conservation of what makes our culture and our singularity in the diverse yet unique community of humanity. To preserve and enrich it is a duty. A people without cultural heritage, without history is not a real people.
I hope that the fascinating work you are carrying out here, with intelligence and dedication, may be understood by all, helped and encouraged.
My modest contribution will not lack,
Congratulations and best wishes to all the EPA team".
